What Lynva is

Lynva is a service for live polls and presentations with voting. You create a poll, show a QR code, people answer from their phones, and the results change as everyone watches.

The service is free. Polls can be created without signing up; an account with Google sign-in adds features but is never required.

Your content stays yours

Questions, options, slides and everything else you create belong to you. We claim no rights over them.

By creating a poll you allow the service to display that content as its purpose requires: the poll page to participants, and — for public polls — the open catalogue and search engines as well.

You are responsible for what you publish and for having the right to publish it.

What is not allowed

Breaking the law or other people's rights.

Publishing calls to violence, hatred on any grounds, threats or harassment.

Collecting other people's personal data without their consent — the service is not meant for that.

Sending advertising, fraudulent links or any kind of spam.

Impersonating another person or organisation.

Attempting to break the service, bypass its limits, inflate votes automatically or create excessive load.

What we may do in response

If a poll breaks these terms, we may remove it from the open catalogue, close access to it, or delete it.

Where the harm to others is obvious, we will act without warning. Otherwise we will try to write first.

Violations can be reported by email; we look into such reports.

Availability

The service is provided as is. We watch over it and take daily backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation: updates, hardware faults and provider outages happen.

Do not rely on the service as the only place where important data lives. A backup protects us from loss; it is not a guarantee that your particular poll can be restored.

Liability

We are not responsible for content created by users, nor for decisions taken on the basis of poll results.

To the extent the law allows, we do not compensate indirect losses, lost profit or lost data connected with the use of the service.

Changes

The service keeps developing: features appear, change and sometimes go away. These terms may change too — we will update the date at the top of the page.

If the service ever has to close, we will say so in advance and leave time to take your data with you.

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine.
